Ghee is clarified, so milk solids are removed and only trace amounts remain, which is why many lactose sensitive families do fine with it. If your child has a diagnosed dairy allergy, check with your pediatrician first.

No. Happy Moo is a food, not a medicine. Many parents tell us a daily spoon of A2 Ghee in warm water seems to support smoother, more regular mornings, but it isn't a treatment, and it doesn't replace your pediatrician's advice.

My child is already on a daily laxative. Can we do this alongside it?

Many families come to us from exactly there. We're not the people to advise you on changing or stopping anything your pediatrician has prescribed, that conversation is theirs. What we can say is that the ritual is a food taken in the morning, and families commonly run it alongside while they talk to their doctor about what comes next.

What are the signs my child is actually constipated?

Fewer than three bowel movements a week, hard or painful stools, straining, or avoiding the bathroom because last time hurt. That last one is the most common and the most missed, one painful experience can start a cycle of holding it in.

My child is a picky eater. Will they even take it?

More children take it than parents expect, because there's very little to react to: warm water, a spoon of Ghee, over in seconds. Start with a quarter teaspoon in a small amount of water and build up. If yours won't, the 30-day promise covers you.

What if my child spits it out or refuses after a few days?

Usually it's the amount or the temperature, not the Ghee. Halve the dose, make the water properly warm rather than hot, and let them stir it themselves. The stirring does more for cooperation than anything we could put in the jar.

My child has a diagnosed dairy allergy. Is this safe?

Lactose intolerance and a milk-protein allergy are two different things. Ghee has the milk solids removed, which is why many lactose-sensitive families do fine with it, but a diagnosed dairy allergy is a question for your pediatrician or allergist, not for us.

Will a daily spoon of Ghee make my child gain weight?

A teaspoon is about 40 calories, roughly a third of a glass of milk, and children need fat to grow. If weight is a specific concern for your child, ask your pediatrician, but a single morning teaspoon isn't the lever.

Anything is, in the wrong amount. The ritual is half a teaspoon to one teaspoon a day, which sits comfortably inside normal fat intake for a growing child.

There's no reason to stop during an ordinary cold. We won't tell you it treats anything, it doesn't. If your child is unwell enough that you're wondering, ask your pediatrician too.

A2 refers to the A2 beta-casein protein in the milk, which many parents find gentler on the tummy. K2 refers to vitamin K2, which comes through in Ghee from grass grazing cows. A2 for their tummy, K2 for their bones.

Most brands ask you to take their word for it. We'd rather you check: send our Ghee to any accredited lab, and if it finds adulteration of any kind we'll pay you ten times what you paid us, and publish the result ourselves.

Cool, dry shelf, lid closed, dry spoon only. No refrigeration needed. Ghee can look grainy or firm in cold weather and pourable in heat, both are normal.

Ghee keeps far longer than butter because the water and milk solids are gone. Sealed, cool and dry, it lasts a long time; once open, use a dry spoon every time and it stays good through the jar. The date on your jar is the one that counts.

Temperature, and both are normal. Ghee firms up and can look grainy in cold weather and turns pourable in heat. Neither means anything is wrong.
